Many of the people we treat in the physiotherapy clinic come in with sporting injuries. Often these musculoskeletal sprains and strains are injuries to joints, muscles, bones and/or nerves.
Common sporting injury conditions we treat every day are:
- Ankle sprain.
- Groin pull.
- Hamstring strain.
- Shin splints.
- Knee injury: ACL tear.
- Knee injury: Patellofemoral syndrome — injury resulting from the repetitive movement of your kneecap against your thigh bone.
- Tennis elbow (epicondylitis)

Tailored Treatment Plans
Our treatment philosophy follows evidence based assessment, diagnostic and treatment techniques of injuries and common conditions.
Following an assessment the physiotherapist will design a treatment plan for you. Treatment typically incorporates a range of manual therapies, passive and active exercises and movements designed to maintain or improve movement and flexibility of joints.
We also use Hydrotherapy, pool based exercises, for treatment and pain relief.
